The Mobile Workforce Centers allow KANSASWORKS to provide workforce services in regions of the state that lack permanent workforce center offices or face unusually high demand for workforce center assistance due to mass layoffs, business closures, natural disasters or demographic shifts.

KANSASWORKS personnel accompany the mobile center and are available to provide career counseling and resume assistance. The Mobile Workforce Center can also be used throughout the state for job fairs, career development workshops, tutorials, skills training and other employment services.

The Mobile Workforce Center may be scheduled for:

  • Assessments and skills training
  • Job search assistance
  • Job fairs, trade shows and online applications
  • Workforce services to rural communities and remote locations
  • National or state disasters or emergencies
  • Mass layoffs or business closures

Funded in full by USDOL

The KANSASWORKS Mobile Workforce Centers may be deployed at no cost for qualified events.
