For more than two decades, award-winning kid rocker Jim “Mr. Stinky Feet” Cosgrove has delighted audiences throughout North America and Europe with his energetic brand of family-folk-rock. With more than 4,000 performances in 38 states and 7 countries (including two at the White House), eight award-winning albums, and over two million YouTube views, he’s become a reliable favorite on the family music tour circuit. Prior to finding his true calling, Cosgrove worked as a media spokesperson for Sprint Corporation, an editor for Hallmark Cards, and a feature writer for the Albuquerque Journal. He is the author of “Everybody Gets Stinky Feet,” a collection of essays from his time as a parenting columnist for The Kansas City Star.
Parents’ Choice Award winner Jim “Mr. Stinky Feet” Cosgrove delivers a high-energy, interactive show that gets the whole family rockin’! It’s a kid friendly (and parent-approved) acoustic rock experience suitable for civic celebrations, school auditoriums, arts centers, festivals, or houses of worship. He performs solo or with his band Mr. Stinky Feet & The Hiccups – whose full-rock sound and three-part harmonies are perfect for larger venues and outdoor performances. Every show culminates with a thunderous “family jam.”
Other programs:
“Live like a child!” That’s the message Jim Cosgrove shares with adult audiences.
In an engaging 60-minute program, Cosgrove uses stories, songs, and lessons he’s learned from his young fans to inspire adults to take a more child-like (not childish) approach to life. Through his 20-year journey, Cosgrove discovered that adults have much to learn from children about communicating more effectively, being more joyful, and living in the present – which make a remarkable difference in our pursuit of success.
Jim also reads excerpts from his book “Everybody Gets Stinky Feet,” a collection of essays from his time as a parenting columnist for The Kansas City Star.
After a successful career as a journalist and corporate media spokesperson, Jim took a leap of faith to pursue a “real job” entertaining families. Since then he has performed more than 4,000 shows throughout the U.S. and Europe as acclaimed kid-rocker “Mr. Stinky Feet.”
This program is suitable for civic organizations, professional networking groups, faith-based congregations, or continuing adult education classes.
For twenty years, Jim “Mr. Stinky Feet” Cosgrove has performed for tens-of-thousands of students at hundreds of schools throughout the United States. He’s also presented assembly programs at Department of Defense schools in Germany, Italy, England, and Spain.
The Rhythm of Respect:
Cosgrove engages students through music to help reinforce principles of respect for themselves and others during this interactive Character Education program. He encourages students to honor and express personal rhythm in everyday activities such as homework, music, and sports while emphasizing respect for the rhythm of others and the earth. During this high energy program, dozens of students are invited to perform on stage in several impromptu “jam” sessions while learning to demonstrate self-expression and positive audience participation skills. Teachers even have a chance to show off their dance moves for a grand finale.
The Rhythm of the Earth:
In this high-energy program, Cosgrove uses music and percussion instruments to teach students about rhythmic cycles in nature, and he reinforces the principles of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Students are invited randomly to perform songs on “instruments” made from recycled objects. This program is perfect for Earth Day celebrations or as a complement to science curricula involving ecosystems.
